Overview
The Pulsar X2V2 refines an already excellent ultralight mouse design with updated optical main switches, improved build tolerances, and a more durable USB-C port. At 55 grams with a PAW3395 sensor (26,000 DPI, 650 IPS), it competes directly with the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 and Finalmouse ULX at a significantly lower price of $79.
Design & Build
The X2V2 retains the familiar symmetrical shape with a slightly humped middle that fills the palm better than most ultralight mice. The shell is made from a thin-but-rigid ABS plastic with a matte coating that provides good grip even with sweaty hands. The main clicks now use optical Kailh switches rated for 80 million actuations, offering a crisp, light feel with zero debounce delay. Side buttons are well positioned and easy to reach, though they have a bit of pre-travel. The USB-C port is recessed and centered on the front edge, a welcome improvement over the fragile feeling micro-USB on the original X2.
Performance
The PixArt PAW3395 sensor is flawless in implementation: tracking is accurate across a wide range of surfaces, and the 650 IPS maximum speed ensures no spinout even during the most aggressive flicks. Wireless performance via the included 2.4 GHz dongle is indistinguishable from wired, with measured click latency of 0.8 ms at 1000 Hz polling. The 55-gram weight makes the mouse feel almost weightless during fast-paced aiming in games like Valorant, Apex Legends, and Overwatch 2. The stock PTFE feet are fast out of the box and glide smoothly on a cloth pad, though they are slightly thinner than aftermarket options.

Pulsar Software Suite: Pulsar’s software suite is lightweight and offers DPI steps, LOD adjustment, MotionSync toggle, and key remapping. Battery Life: The battery life is excellent at 100 hours at the standard 1000 Hz polling rate, dropping to around 35 hours at 4000 Hz.
