Design & Build
Anker has graduated from black bricks to something approaching industrial design. The Prime features a two-tone matte-and-gloss finish that resists scratches, with a subtle diamond pattern that provides grip. The 1.3-inch OLED display is a genuinely useful addition - it shows remaining capacity as a percentage, estimated time to full, current power draw per port, and the temperature of the battery cells. Double-tapping the side button wakes the screen, a long press activates trickle-charging mode for earbuds. The port layout is smart: USB-C 1 on top, USB-C 2 and USB-A ports on the bottom, with labels that are actually readable. The included 140W USB-C cable is braided and 1.5 meters long. The power button is recessed to prevent accidental activation in a bag.
Performance
This power bank is fast. USB-C 1 delivers a full 140W via Power Delivery 3.1, which charged a 16-inch MacBook Pro from empty to 56% in 30 minutes. The second USB-C port delivers 100W, and the two USB-A ports share 30W. Running all four ports simultaneously, the total output hits 250W - enough to charge a laptop, tablet, an iPhone, and AirPods at the same time. The Prime can recharge itself at up to 140W via the same USB-C 1 port, going from 0 to 100% in about 1 hour 45 minutes with a compatible 140W charger. Capacity is true to spec: we got 92 Wh of usable energy out of the rated 99.5 Wh, which is excellent for a lithium-ion pack. Pass-through charging works reliably - plug the bank into a wall charger and your devices into the bank, and everything charges simultaneously.
